The Qatar chapter of the prestigious Institution of Engineers (India), invited Prof. Nimir Elbashir to deliver a talk at the Centenary International Engineering Congress, held at Qatar University in September 2019. The theme of the Congress was “Smart Engineering: State-of-the-Art technologies in Oil & Gas and Civil Infrastructure Development”. Prof. Elbashir’s talk,” Qatar World Leader in Natural Gas Monetization” highlighted the leading role Qatar is playing in Natural Gas conversion and exports on a global scale. He also was part of the ensuing panel discussion along with Mr.John McEntire (Director, Industry Development, IP & Commercialization, QF RDI) and Dr. Sarim Dastagir (Senior Scientist, Qatar Energy and Environment Research Institute (QEERI, HBKU)).
